These Terms govern your use of the Snake Adventures website and Discord Activity. By launching or playing the Game, you agree to these Terms. Authenticated Discord play includes persistent statistics, account-owned cosmetic purchases, and automatic completed-run posts in the configured Activities channel.
1. The Game and These Terms
Snake Adventures (the "Game") is provided by the Snake Adventures team ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to the Game's website, browser edition, and Discord Activity. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Game.
2. Eligibility
You may use the Game only if you are legally permitted to do so and are old enough to use Discord under Discord's Terms of Service and the law where you live. If you use the Game on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.
3. Permission to Use the Game
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and play the Game for lawful, non-commercial entertainment. This permission does not transfer ownership of the Game or any intellectual property rights.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Game for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity.
- Disrupt, overload, damage, or interfere with the Game or its hosting services.
- Introduce malware, automated attacks, or code intended to compromise users.
- Bypass access, safety, platform, or security restrictions.
- Submit fabricated or manipulated scores, impersonate another player, or automate score submissions.
- Spam the score service or destination Discord channel.
- Misrepresent affiliation with the Game or its creators.
- Use Game content in a way that infringes another person's rights.
5. Online Scores, Streaks, and Posts
When you authorize Discord identity access, completed wins and game-overs are submitted to our score service. We store your personal-best score, highest level, completed-run count, and daily streak. A daily streak counts consecutive UTC calendar dates with at least one accepted completed run; additional runs on the same UTC date do not increase it. Missing a UTC date resets the current streak to one on the next accepted run.
Every accepted completed run is submitted for posting as an embed in the configured Activities Discord channel, although delivery may fail during Discord or network outages. Manual restarts and abandoned runs do not count. A short anti-spam interval may reject unusually rapid submissions. Score data is generated by client-side gameplay and is provided for entertainment, not prizes or financial value. We may correct or remove scores reasonably believed to be invalid, abusive, duplicated, or technically corrupted.
Scores, streaks, levels, rankings, and temporary gameplay state have no cash value and create no ownership interest. Paid snake skins are cosmetic only and do not alter scoring, speed, lives, boss behavior, or other gameplay rules. See our Privacy Policy for information about online processing.
6. Cosmetic Purchases
The Discord Activity may offer individual snake skins as durable one-time purchases. A purchase grants the purchasing Discord account a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that cosmetic in the Game. It does not transfer ownership of the artwork, create cash value, or grant a gameplay advantage.
Discord displays the final localized price, currency, and applicable taxes during checkout and processes payment through Discord and its payment providers. We do not receive or store your full payment-card or bank-account credentials. Purchases are tied to the Discord account used at checkout and may take a short time to appear in the Game.
Discord's applicable purchase and refund terms govern checkout and refund requests. Refunds, chargebacks, fraud reversals, entitlement revocation, or Discord account action may remove access to a cosmetic. Deleting the equipped-skin preference from our database does not cancel, erase, or refund Discord's purchase record; an active entitlement can be discovered again after authorization.
7. Discord and Other Services
The Discord Activity depends on Discord, and hosting depends on Cloudflare. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and policies. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, outages, account actions, or changes to their platforms.
8. Intellectual Property
The Game's original code, visual designs, characters, text, music, sound effects, and branding are owned by their respective creators and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Third-party names, platforms, and marks belong to their respective owners. Discord does not sponsor or endorse the Game merely because it is available as an Activity.
9. Updates and Availability
We may update, rebalance, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Game at any time. We do not promise that the Game will always be available, uninterrupted, compatible with every device, or free from errors. We may remove access when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, or enforcement of these Terms. Purchased offerings will be handled consistently with applicable law, Discord's monetization requirements, and any required refund or support obligations.
10. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Game is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and the Game's creators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the Game. Our aggregate liability relating to the Game will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Game during the previous twelve months or ten U.S. dollars. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.
12. Responsibility for Claims
To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Game or material violation of these Terms. This section does not require you to indemnify us for our own unlawful conduct.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Game, providers, or legal requirements. We will post revised Terms here and change the effective date. Continuing to use the Game after revised Terms take effect means you accept them, to the extent permitted by law.
14. General Terms
If a provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a reorganization or transfer of the Game. Applicable mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.
