Browser-only play stays local. When you play inside Discord and authorize the
identify permission, Snake Adventures stores your player identity and run
statistics to maintain personal records and a daily streak. If you use the Wardrobe, we
also verify Discord cosmetic entitlements and store your equipped skin. After completed
runs, the Game attempts to post a score embed in the Snake Adventures
Activities channel.
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy applies to Snake Adventures, including its website and Discord Activity (the "Game"), operated by the Snake Adventures team ("we," "us," or "our").
2. Information We Collect
For online scores in the Discord Activity, we process:
- Your Discord user ID, username, global display name, and avatar URL.
- Each completed run's score, level, result, game version, and submission time.
- Your personal-best score, highest level, completed-run count, current daily streak, and longest daily streak.
- A random submission identifier used to prevent the same run from being recorded twice.
- Discord SKU IDs and active entitlement status for Snake Adventures cosmetics.
- Your equipped cosmetic ID and the time that preference was updated.
Discord provides a short-lived access token after you authorize the Game. The token is held in browser memory, used to validate your identity with Discord, and is not stored in our score database. If you play on the ordinary website rather than inside Discord, no online score or equipped-cosmetic record is created.
3. Discord Activity Information
When launched inside Discord, the Game uses Discord's Embedded App SDK to establish
the Activity session and requests the minimum identify scope for online
scores and cosmetic ownership. The SDK lists available SKUs, opens Discord checkout
when you explicitly choose to buy, and signals when an entitlement may have been
created. Our backend independently verifies cosmetic ownership through Discord's HTTP
API before a paid skin can be equipped. We do not request your Discord email address,
server list, messages, contacts, or voice communications.
Discord independently processes information under its Privacy Policy.
4. Automatic Score Posts
After each completed win or game-over, the Game attempts to send an embed to the configured Activities text channel. The embed contains your Discord display name and avatar, run score and level, personal-best score, highest level, current daily streak, longest daily streak, and completed-run count. It does not ping you or other users. Delivery can fail during Discord or network outages. Manual restarts and runs abandoned before game-over are not posted.
Messages posted to Discord are retained according to the server's settings and Discord's policies. Contact us if you want help requesting removal of a score post.
5. Information We Do Not Collect
The Game does not:
- Read Discord messages, contacts, server content, or voice communications.
- Request or store your full payment-card, bank-account, or billing credentials.
- Use advertising trackers, third-party analytics, cookies, or browser local storage.
- Sell virtual currency, consumable boosts, or gameplay advantages.
Current movement, audio settings, and other live gameplay state remain in temporary browser memory and are cleared when the page or Activity closes.
6. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Authenticate score submissions and associate them with the correct player.
- Calculate personal records, completed runs, and consecutive UTC play dates.
- Post completed-run embeds and prevent accidental duplicate or excessively rapid submissions.
- Display available cosmetics, verify durable purchases, and remember the skin you equip.
- Secure, maintain, debug, and improve the Game and score service.
- Respond to support requests and comply with applicable law.
7. Hosting and Technical Data
The Game is hosted through Cloudflare Pages, and online statistics are stored in Cloudflare D1. Cloudflare may automatically process technical information such as your IP address, browser or device type, request time, and security data to deliver and protect the service. We do not use this information for advertising.

8. Retention and Deletion
Player statistics, run-submission records, and equipped-cosmetic preferences are retained while the applicable online feature operates or until they are no longer reasonably needed. You may request deletion using the contact address below. We may retain limited information when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or resolving disputes. Deleting our equipment row resets the selected skin but does not delete or refund the purchase entitlement maintained by Discord. Deleting our database record also does not automatically delete an embed already posted in Discord; those messages are controlled through Discord and the destination server.
9. Support Communications
If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, and any attachments. We use it only to respond, provide support, protect the Game, or meet legal obligations. We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.
10. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We share score information with Discord to create the automatic embeds described above, use Discord for checkout and entitlement verification, and use Cloudflare to host the Game and store statistics and equipment preferences. Discord and its payment providers process checkout and transaction information under their own policies. We may disclose information when necessary to operate the Game, comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or work with service providers acting on our behalf. Discord, Cloudflare, and your email provider process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
11. International Processing and Security
Discord, Cloudflare, and email infrastructure may process information in countries other than your own. We use reasonable measures appropriate to the limited information we handle, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
12. Children
The Game is intended only for people old enough to use Discord under Discord's Terms of Service and applicable local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
13. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal information we hold, or to object to certain processing. We will respond to valid requests concerning stored player statistics, equipped-cosmetic preferences, and support communications as required by applicable law. Purchase and payment records controlled by Discord must be handled through Discord. We may need your Discord user ID or other reasonable verification before acting on a player-data request.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy when the Game, its providers, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised Policy here and update its effective date. Material changes will apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise.
